Social Media & Community Manager

As the Social Media & Community Manager at Original Games, you will work with game developers, artists and marketers building content, campaigns and integration points for various social media platforms, as well as two-way communication practices with the player community.
The key objective in this role is player engagement, and building up vibrant communication channels on feasible platforms. As we are a new game company, there is both room and need for a proactive and hands-on approach.


  • For which tasks?
    • Develop and implement content strategy for relevant social media channels, to keep players informed of game content releases, in-game events, and fun stuff
    • Develop moderation practices to ensure all player channels remain safe and enjoyable forums for player interaction
    • Work with the game developers and marketers to develop insight into community sentiment around game updates, features, events and content.
    • Liaise with internal and external marketing partners, such as content creators, influencers and other talent to develop various campaigns
    • Create highly engaging content in all relevant social & community platforms, as well as tracking and reporting practices to identify best practices for content strategy
  • We're looking for:
    • At least 3 years of experience in social media marketing, community management, and similar
    • Actively follow, identify and understand creative and original social media content, memes, trends, conversations and community sentiment
    • Have experience in resolving challenging community situations and conflicts, and maneuvering heated conversations with diplomacy and positivity
    • Speak and write fluent English, with previous examples of copywriting online content and community communications
    • Understand social platforms algorithms, and how to optimize content for different platforms
    • Have deep experience working with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and an understanding of the benefits of social media tools such as Sprout and Hootsuite
    • Are experienced with managing and creating briefs for external vendors and agencies
    • Regularly play casual mobile games, and follow game industry and player community news!
